Local Gov 2010 Leeds

Aim of course

This course will give GMB members who are politically active, more information about what a Councillor practically does and how the process works if you want to stand for election.

Members should be politically aware and at a level of considering standing for office in local government. This is not a taster day, but training for people who are practically considering how to get more involved on a local level. You will cover the role of local government and councillors, what the practical process is to become a councillor and some of the basics of running local campaigns.

The training only relates to the Labour Party process.

The course runs from November 20th - 22nd in Leeds.
