I'm voting against the Trade Union Bill

As a Member of Parliament, I will vote against the Trade Union Bill. I know that trade union members don’t want to take strike action – besides anything you lose your pay when you do – but that sometimes it’s the only option you have left.

The right to take industrial action is just that: a basic right.

I will also oppose other unfair measures in this Bill such as the banning of check-off in the public sector, the attack on facility time and the assault on the ability of trade union members to campaign politically.
